Horseback riding Lake Mburo National Park is one of the unpopular activities in Uganda but is Famous in the country’s smallest savannah conservation area in Uganda, it is the only national park where you can do this activity and is safe due to the absence of large mammals like elephants and fierce cats like lions. Lake Mburo national park is situated in the western part of Uganda, along the highway connecting western Uganda to the central region. The park is comprised of an open diverse environment that has dotted ecosystems including swamps, rocky outcrops, and forests which are homes to the park’s flora and fauna.

Lake Mburo national park is surrounded by quite a good number of Lakes and those that are within the park, you will be amazed during the ride to have spot areas where there will be clear sights of the Lake areas, riding is most recommended to a maximum of 4-5 hours for an expert Rider. Other popular park activities to do include game drives, which are conducted in the early morning in search of morning risers, like grazing Rothschild’s giraffes, waterbucks, impalas, afternoon drives, and evening ones allow enjoying the wildlife and sundowners. It is one of those few places where doing Night game drives is allowed in search of Nocturnal species like mongoose, pottos, and bush babies. Lake Mburo national park is a good spot for Uganda birding safaris, Rubango forest is a key destination in the park to find birds, and out of the 350 bird kinds least, 150 will be spotted. Cultural encounters in the nearby Ankole villages and Guided Nature walks. Trips to the national park can be interconnected with those of the western part of Uganda. It is a common stopover for safari trips to Bwindi impenetrable national park or Queen Elizabeth national park.
