RWAKOBO ROCK

Rwakobo Rock is one of those stunning places to stay while at Lake Mburo national park. It is just a few Kilometers from the roadside boasting amazing views of wildlife anywhere you are at the lodge. The welcoming good ambiance of the friendly staff is accompanied by olive Baboons! Who will sit patiently waiting as though they have a program with every traveler. The thatched surrounding is high on rock Kopjes which will give you great views of the serene low-lying Savannah.

The Midrange facility offers a peaceful and calm environment. Here you will take in a good breath of the wildlife in the Ugandan Savannah destinations. Lake Mburo national park is the smallest savannah national park in Uganda. The spacious cottages are spread around a hill a part of Ankole ranches and grazing lands. En route to the lodge premises you will see the historical long-horned cattle. The rooms are very private offering wonderful sunset views. The Main Lodge area overlooks the expanse of rocks adjoin the park. It contains a beautiful restaurant that is beautifully set for meals. While here you will have chances of viewing antelopes, impalas, oribi grazing from the below grounds.

The lodge

At the lodge you will have beautiful views of wildlife that congregate around the water ponds for drinking water. These are right across from the dining area. Popular views include those of Zebras, Topi, antelopes, Impalas, and warthogs. They are also always wandering around the lodge premises including the Olive baboons. The Natural setup of Rwakobo rock perfectly blends with the environment.  The handing Hammock is a great way to kick off the tired you from the African wilderness.

Above the granite rocks are beautiful Chalet rooms offering a classy touch of privacy. With solar, flush toilets, and showers running both Cold and Hot water the cottages are around the hill. There are small routes connecting to the main lodge area. The bar area provides range of Ugandan beers, wines, spirits, and soft drinks, and meals are served from set menus. Ala-carte to the buffet style of dinner, this goes for breakfast and lunch as well. There is always a beautiful concern for everybody. In cases where the guest leaves early, they at least go with a packed lunch or breakfast. The lodge area also offers to charge places in case you may need to charge that gadget. Rooms are in twin, double, single, or Family room occupancy.

Finding the accommodation facility is approximately 8km from the main road Masaka-Mbarara highway and only 1.5 km from Nshara gate.

Activities while at Rwakobo rock

Game drives which are in the morning afternoon and Night drives. These are done in search of Nocturnal species of the park. Walking safaris, cultural experiences, Birding safaris, cycling, and boat safaris along Lake Mburo.
