4 Days Lake Mburo and Lake Bunyonyi safari : During this Uganda safari, you will explore Lake Mburo and Lake Bunyonyi. The safari begins and ends in Kampala. This safari will take you to Lake Mburo national park, which is the smallest savannah national park in Uganda. A game drive and boat cruise in Lake Mburo national park will allow you to observe various animals including buffaloes, waterbucks, giraffes, zebras, Uganda kobs, impalas, oribis, topi, warthogs, and different bird species.
The 4 days Lake Mburo and Lake Bunyonyi safari will also take you to Lake Bunyonyi which is the deepest lake in Uganda and the second deepest lake in East Africa after Lake Tanganyika. In addition, you will take part in an interesting boat cruise, which provides the opportunity to explore the 29 islands surrounding the lake.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and Drive to Lake Mburo national park-afternoon boat cruise
Our driver guide will greet you on the first day of the 4 days Lake Mburo and Lake Bunonyi safari and provide you with a briefing about the safari before starting the journey to Lake Mburo national park.
In addition to the scenery, you will witness terraced farmlands along the way. Once you have arrived at Lake Mburo national park, you will check into the lodge for lunch.
You will be taken on a boat cruise after lunch where you can observe animals such as hippos and nile crocodiles in the water, buffaloes, waterbucks, giraffes, warthogs and others drinking water along the shoreline, as well as diverse aquatic bird species, such as the elusive shoebill, cormorants, hornbills, and kingfishers. After the boat cruise, you will drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Morning game drive and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
During your 4 day Lake Mburo and Lake Bunyonyi safari, you will have an early breakfast and meet up with your driver guide for a morning game drive in the park in which you will be able to observe animals such as waterbucks, leopards, hyenas, buffaloes, zebras, giraffes, warthogs, oribi, and topis, all of which are grazing in open savannah plains. Following the game drive, you will depart the park and begin the journey to Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale. Upon arrival, you will check into the lodge for dinner and overnight.
 Day 3: Boat cruise on Lake Bunyonyi and community tour
After breakfast on the third day of the four-day Lake Mburo and Lake Bunyonyi safari, you will take a boat cruise on the lake.
During your boat ride, you will be able to explore some of the islands, including the punishment island, view different birds, view beautiful scenery, and see terraced farmlands, among other things. After the boat cruise, you will return to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will go for a community or cultural tour in which you will have an opportunity to interact with the local people and learn about their culture, tradition, way of life, visit their farmlands, and homesteads, learn how to make beer from bananas, enjoy their traditional dishes, and watch entertainments among other things. After the community tour, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Departure to Kampala
In the final day of the 4 days Lake Mburo and Lake Bunyonyi safari, you will enjoy a relaxing breakfast before checking out of the lodge and meeting your driver guide for the transfer back to Kampala. You will have a lunch stop along the way in Mbarara town before continuing your journey with a photo stop at the Equator. From the Equator you will proceed to Kampala arriving early evening and upon arrival your driver guide will drop you off at Entebbe international airport for your departure flight.
