Itinerary of the 4 Days Lake Mburo National Park Safari in Uganda

Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Lake Mburo national park

On arrival, you will be welcomed by our representative who will pick you up, get a snack or coffee for you and brief you as well. Later, you will drive to western Uganda by road for approximately 4-5 hours along the Kampala –Masaka-Mbarara highway, a very smooth and beautiful road. Remember to enjoy the angelic countryside as you pass through villages and small towns. There will be a stop over en route at the equator to experience the point within which latitude zero divides the earth into two hemispheres. You will then be proceeding to arrive at the park for check-in at the lodge and relaxation of your choice as from below.

Day 2: Game drives and boat cruise along Lake Mburo

On the second day, we will have breakfast after which we transfer to the park center to begin the game drives. In our open-roof safari car, you will enjoy animal sights like Zebras, warthogs, African buffaloes, elands, oribi, the galloping antelopes hopping from one place to another, Rothschild giraffes to mention a few. Just get your camera ready for the beautiful shoots. We return to the lodge for a mouth-watering lunch and an afternoon boat cruise along Lake Mburo. Expect to see water animals like Hippos and crocodiles along the banks of the lake and endeavor to look out for the prehistoric shoebill stock. We will then be returning for dinner and stay overnight at any of these options, according to your choice.

Day 3: Horseback riding and igongo cultural center

On this day of the 4 days Lake Mburo National Park Safari, we will wake up for tea or coffee, then embark on more exploration of the park. Horse riding is one of the most beautiful ways of viewing wildlife we offer. Or you can choose an option of walking safari in the Rubanga forest. We promise you will have a different view of the animal species as compared to the hooting cars. We will return to the lodge for an organized lunch served in buffet or alarcate order then go to the Igongo cultural center. The drive to Igongo cultural center is a few kilometers from Lake Mburo National Park. You will have the chance to witness the cultural aspect of the people of Mbarara, visit the Igongo museum, taste the food cuisine and also watch the dance troop perform their famous “ekitaguriro” dance, a very intrestingly energetic dance.

Day 4: End of the 4 Days Lake Mburo National Park Safari, Transfer to Kampala or Entebbe
