This 4 days Mountain Gorillas and Lake Mburo tour offers tourists a great adventure in western Uganda. The tour starts from Lake Mburo national park and ends in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Bwindi is home to half of the world’s mountain gorillas. Lake Mburo national park is the smallest savannah park in Uganda. Tourists get a chance to look at common animals like zebras, giraffes, and many more.

Detailed Itinerary of the 4 Days Mountain Gorilla and Lake Mburo

Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

On arrival, our company tour guide will warmly welcome you and transfer you to Lake Mburo NP. It the smallest and nearest Savannah Park in Uganda. This journey will take over 3 to 5 hours with a stopover for lunch along Masaka road. Then later proceed to Lake Mburo national park for an evening boat cruise. On arrival, you will check-in at the lodge and then go for the boat cruise at Lake Mburo fresh waters. The boat cruise will take roughly 3 hours. Expect to see water animals like crocodiles and hippos across the edges of the waters. Later get back to the lodge for dinner and a midnight stay.

Day 2: Game drive and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park

Morning breakfast will be available before our tour guide transfers you to the park center for a morning game drive. The game drive is done in our open-roof safari 4-wheel car. You will get to see animals like warthogs, African buffaloes, zebras, and many others. Just get your cameras ready for pictures of these wildlife species and later head to lodge for a delicious lunch. After lunch, you will check out from the lodge. Then transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park lodge for dinner and a midnight stay.

Day 3: Mountain Gorilla trekking

After the morning breakfast, our tour guide will transfer you to the park offices. There will be a briefing by the park ranger on the dos and don’ts of a gorilla trek. Later you will be head to the jungle for a particular gorilla group. That is out of the 19 habituated gorilla groups in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest national park. As soon as you meet a gorilla family, you are can spend only one hour with that particular gorilla family and later leave the jungle. You will go for lunch and then proceed to encounter a cultural experience with the Batwa people. The Batwa People shall entertain the tourists by singing and dancing for them. Then later head back to the lodge for dinner and a midnight stay.

Day 4: Transfer back to Kampala or Entebbe for departure

After morning breakfast, you will check out from the lodge and then transfer back to Kampala or the airport. The journey will include a lunch stopover. Just in case you still have some time in Uganda, you will have a city tour in Kampala city. Visit places like the Uganda Museum, kabaka’s palace, or pass by the nakasero market for a little bit of shopping. Then proceed to the airport or lodge.
