Arcadia Lodge is an angelic facility in Lake Mburo national park. It is one of the Midrange facilities where you can spend a night on a visit to the African wilderness. It is a few kilometers from the Ruwonyo park headquarters. The Lodge is an enjoyable facility having a cool ambiance and point at which most of the park activities begin.These include game drives, nature walks, birding safaris, mountain climbing. The cozy cottages are near Lake Mburo and a Fun place to stay. The property is apart of the Arcadia of Lake Bunyonyi in the Kabale district in the western part of Uganda.

The flora and fauna of the park are often visible on the lodge premises. It is also a close place to the dock area where launch cruises begin on Lake Mburo. It is possible to reach the Launch site for angelic views of Hippos and Nile crocodiles. For birders it’s a start point in looking out for most of the African endemic species. Including the African fin foot and the pre-historic shoe bill stock. The Lodge is a stunning beauty in the middle of the wilderness. The spacious lodges are comfortable and will make you melt in nature. Wildlife seems to be literally on the doorstep, with sights of impalas, Topi, waterbucks, and warthogs.

What is there

The lodge has eight (8) chalets which are fit to offer the best relaxation for travelers. The main lodge area offers excellent views of the Lakeside. Sometimes it is possible to see the resident animal species the Hippo love to graze here. It has a restaurant serving meals and drinks in the bar area. The meals are made fresh from the garden and local Markets.  The cottages have ensuite bathrooms with both cold and warm water. The Family cottage is with Wifi, Television Twin or double beds, and ensuite bathrooms. Facilities and Amenities available at the lodge include the restaurant, accommodation, parking, bar, and restaurant.

Activities

While staying at the lodge, it is a hub center of beginning activities like the boat cruise along Lake Mburo. This takes 2-3 hours while spotting the water animals like the hippos, crocodiles, and water birds like African Fish eagle. Game drives in the national park take place in the morning in search of animal species. Afternoon drives will allow you to view the sundowners in the evening as you appreciate the wilderness of African continent. Night drives will introduce you to the Nocturnal species of the conservation area mostly the cat Family leopards, and Pottos. Horseback riding is a fancy way of viewing animals, it is also a way of admiring nature from nature. The fauna is less terrified in the presence of their cousin species horses. Mountain biking on the Ruwonyo park premises is Magnificent.

Acardia lodge is approximately 200 Kilometers from Kampala, by the road along the Masaka – Mbarara Highway. The park is an access connection point to western Uganda and its conservation areas like the Queen Elizabeth national park. Bwindi impenetrable national park, Kibale forest national park, and Lake Bunyonyi.
